Last year’s U15 netball team were a very fit group of young girls who played netball several times a week enjoying lots of success on the court. Georgia continued to play Goal Shooter throughout the school year whenever she felt well enough to and often when she didn’t – such was her determination to play. So it was decided that the girls in the team, including Georgia, needed to up their game and take on a whole new challenge. They would play against their mothers. So on Friday 19th March in front of a live Courage Hall audience the mums pulled on netball bibs and lycra shorts and took to the court. Even though none had played for at least 20 years the mums were just about able to bring a good game to the girls. It was an exhausting, high spirited, well-battled match of 4 x 5 minutes that ended in victory to the girls but a huge sense of achievement to the mums.
This was Georgia’s last ever game of netball.
