On a bright windy Sunday morning in October around 200 walkers of all ages raised £1600 by turning up at Thorndon Park to do an hour of walking in support of GTCA. Led by David and Richard we hiked en masse through the forest, around the lake, up and down hills and back to the pavilion for hot chocolates and coffees. Delicious, beautiful butterfly cupcakes were provided by the talented Alison Stannard for the walkers to buy after the walk along with GTCA t-shirts, hats and wrist bands. Georgia’s whole family was there including Georgia’s god-daughter Isabelle and Grand-mother Audrey. Whether they were power walking or strolling everyone had a great time and was back before the rain started!
