Over 100 people ran for Georgia’s appeal in this event wearing the GTCA t-shirts and raised £16,524! It was a fantastic day with the majority of the runners in the FUN RUN of 5 kilometres. Georgia, having just finished her chemotherapy, completed the race in the remarkable time of 37 minutes and her best friend Rosie Dailly who used to compete with her in the 200m where they both represented Brentwood school, showed her support by after finishing in high position going back to help Georgia run the last part and crossed the line hand in hand. Unfortunately Georgia pushed herself too much and was admitted to hospital the following week with complications and a low blood count.  We would like to thank all the runners for their efforts and the committee members for their hard work selling merchandise on the GTCA stall, we even sold t-shirts to the policemen in a passing police car!
